Terms of Service

The terms that apply when you use this website or ask Laguna Niguel EV Charger for an estimate, including what an Instant Quote figure does and does not promise.

Effective [add effective date]

A plain note before you read on: these terms are a general template. They describe how this website and our estimates are meant to work, but they have not been reviewed by a lawyer and they have not been checked against how the business runs day to day. Please have an attorney read them before relying on them.

About these terms

These terms apply to your use of this website, which is operated by Laguna Niguel EV Charger, a licensed C-10 electrical contractor serving Laguna Niguel and south Orange County, California. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

Work we actually carry out for you is governed by the signed proposal or contract for that job. Where that document and these terms disagree, the signed document wins.

Using this site

You may read this site and use the Instant Quote calculator to arrange or consider electrical work. You agree not to:

  • use the site for any unlawful purpose
  • submit another person's details, or a service address you have no connection to
  • copy, scrape, or republish the content of this site for a competing business
  • interfere with the site, its security, or other people's use of it

We may withdraw access to the site or to the calculator if it is being misused.

An Instant Quote estimate is not a binding quote

This is the most important term on the page, so it is stated plainly: the figure the Instant Quote calculator shows you is a preliminary range worked out from the answers you typed in. It is an estimate. It is not an offer, not a fixed price, and not a contract.

Nobody has looked at your panel, your walls, your parking, or your permit situation when that number appears. A real quote follows a site visit or a proper conversation about the details, and it can be higher or lower than the range. The final figure commonly differs because of:

  • the true condition, capacity, and age of your existing electrical panel
  • the actual cable route between the panel and the charger location
  • wall, attic, crawl space, or trenching conditions nobody could see from a form
  • permit, inspection, and utility fees, which are set by others and can change
  • work needed to bring existing wiring up to current code

Nothing on this website, including any figure the calculator produces, obliges you to buy anything or obliges us to take on the work. You can start one at /instant-quote whenever you want a ballpark.

Scope of our services

We install, upgrade, repair, and troubleshoot EV charging equipment and the electrical infrastructure it depends on, for residential, commercial, and association-governed properties in the areas we serve.

Whether we can take on a particular job depends on the property, the equipment, our schedule, and whether the necessary permits and approvals can be obtained. No service described on this site is guaranteed to be available to you until it is confirmed in a signed proposal.

Pricing, permits, and approvals

Prices shown on this site or in an estimate are in US dollars. Unless we say otherwise, they do not include amounts set by other parties: permit fees, inspection fees, utility charges, and any fee an HOA or property manager charges to review an application.

Where a job needs a permit, we pull it and see the inspection through. Where a job needs approval from an HOA, a landlord, or the electric utility, obtaining that approval is a condition of the work going ahead, and the timeline depends on how quickly they respond.

What we need from you

So that we can work safely and to code, you agree to:

  • give accurate information about the property, its electrical service, and the equipment involved
  • confirm that you own the property, or that you have the owner's permission for the work
  • provide safe access on the scheduled day to the panel, the installation location, and the route between them
  • tell us about anything we could not reasonably discover ourselves, such as buried lines, earlier unpermitted work, or previous repairs

If conditions turn out to be materially different from what we were told, the price and the schedule may need to change. We will tell you before carrying on, not afterwards.

Warranty

Our workmanship is warranted for the period stated in the signed proposal or invoice for your job. Within that period we will come back and put right a defect in our own work at no charge to you.

Equipment we install — chargers, breakers, and other manufactured parts — carries the manufacturer's own warranty rather than ours, and we will help you make a claim under it.

The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, tampering, or alteration by someone else, by vehicle or equipment faults, by power surges or weather, or by ordinary wear. It does not cover faults in wiring we did not install. Nothing here removes rights California law gives you that cannot be waived.

Limitation of liability

We are responsible for carrying out the work we agreed to do with the skill and care expected of a licensed contractor. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Beyond that, and so far as the law allows:

  • this website is provided as it stands, without a promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or accurate at every moment
  • we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost income, or loss of use arising from your use of the site or from any figure the calculator produced
  • our total liability in connection with this website is limited to the amount you have paid us for the work it relates to, if any

Intellectual property

The text, layout, photographs, and design of this site belong to Laguna Niguel EV Charger or are used with permission. You may read the site and print or save a page for your own use in arranging work. You may not republish it, resell it, or use it to build or promote another business.

Product names, brands, and trademarks mentioned on this site belong to their owners. We name them only to describe the equipment we install and service. A mention is not a claim of affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement by that manufacturer unless we say so explicitly.

Some pages link to sites we do not run: manufacturers, electric utilities, rebate programs, and permitting authorities. We include them because they are useful, not because we control them. We are not responsible for their content or their accuracy, or for what they do with information you give them.

Privacy

How we handle the information you send through this site is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the business or the site changes. The version published on this page is the one that applies, and the effective date at the top shows when it last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated version.

A change to these terms does not alter a proposal you have already signed.

Governing law and where disputes are heard

These terms, and any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of this site, are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any court proceeding will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Orange County, California, and both you and we agree to those courts having jurisdiction.

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest of them continues to apply.

Licensing and complaints

Laguna Niguel EV Charger holds a California C-10 electrical contractor licence. Electrical contractors in California are licensed and regulated by the Contractors State License Board.

If something about our work is not right, please tell us first. Nearly everything is quickest to resolve directly, and we would far rather come back and fix it than have you live with it.
